Burger Guys, Houston

  • Description:
Burger Guys makes godly burgers, and everything that goes with them is top-quality. Everything they make is locally-sourced from just outside of Houston, or at least within Texas. The beef is Grass-fed Akaushi, and served medium-rare unless you ask otherwise. Average cost is about $8. Toppings change seasonally, with a few mainstays like the Houston Burger (smoked cheddar, jalapenos, onion-bacon jam and Lawnmower Ale Mustard). Fries cost extra, but they're finished in rendered duck fat and come with a choice of two dipping sauces, including House-made Ketchup and Tabasco Mash Aioli. As for drinks, they make their own ice cream for their milkshakes, two different flavors daily (usually one dessert and one cereal, like Lemon Icebox Pie and Boo Berry). They also offer real-sugar sodas from Dublin TX, including Dr. Pepper and Big Red. The place may be a little hard to find since it's part of a strip mall, so look out for their purple banner and the purple van sometimes parked outside. http://theburgerguys.com/
